Sophie was born and raised in Macclesfield, Cheshire, surrounded by the unwavering support of her incredible parents, Julie and Akbar, alongside her siblings, Charlotte and Josh. An accomplished academic historian and museum lover, Sophie completed all three of her university degrees in York since 2009, and has fallen in love with the city's charm, beauty and history. Now, as she embarks on a new chapter, she is excited to celebrate her wedding in the picturesque setting that has become her home, a place filled with cherished memories and a promise of new beginnings.

Nick was born and raised in Nottingham by his loving parents, Catherine and Alan, alongside his sister Alexandra. Frequent trips to Yorkshire during his childhood instilled in him a deep affection for the area. He later chose York as the spot to pursue his academic journey, having recently graduated with a Doctorate in Theatre from York in the summer of 2025. Nick now proudly considers York his home and, together with his partner Sophie and their beloved furry companion, Frida, he thrives in this vibrant city. The serene surroundings of Museum Gardens provide Nick with a tranquil space for mindfulness, allowing him to reflect ahead of this important day.
